Job Description: This individual will be responsible for the design and development of YIG (Yttrium Iron Garnet) and YIG integrated assemblies, GPS filter integrated products and control circuit boards. Will work closely with the current engineering staff to acquire technical theory and gain product knowledge. This will include bid and proposal efforts such as conceptual design, technical proposal writing and cost estimating. Supports technical requirements on engineering projects and provide technical support to the Product Line Director. Requires working closely with cross functional teams (quality, purchasing, planning, manufacturing, engineering).
Other Responsibilities include supporting the marketing and sales distribution channels on new business opportunities, such as participating in customer meetings for Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, and other required technical interchange meetings. Will also generate milestone schedules using MS software tools, including providing status reports for development programs, and will provide engineering and technical support for the product lines.
Job Requirements: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required. A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred. A minimum of 10 years’ experience of working in the RF and Microwave Industry is needed. YIG design experience or strong technical understanding of YIG products is highly desired. The applicant should have at least 8 years of experience in designing and developing RF components such as oscillators and filters. Must be able to design control circuit card assemblies (Analog and Digital Drivers), experience with microelectronic assembly design and manufacturing a plus. Should have a strong knowledge of AutoCAD and Microwave Office, as well as be familiar with applicable test equipment. Should have experience with testing and evaluation of engineering hardware in a laboratory environment. Must have the ability to manage priorities and support multiple projects to completion simultaneously. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential to support both internal and external customers.
Some Travel will be Required.
